GRANT WRITERS NEEDED

                                                                Grant Development Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION
Research and identify private and public funding opportunities. Prepare, write and submit grant proposals and applications to private and public funders (foundations, corporations, federal, state and local entities). Coordinate and maintain grant development schedule, including tracking, monitoring and status reports on grant applications, proposals and report deadlines.


JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree and 3 or more years of demonstrated skill through previous work experience and submitted work samples, in Grant Development, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field. He/she must also possess accurate, effective, compelling and superb communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability and commitment to manage multiple tasks or projects while meeting aggressive deadlines and outcomes. Strong ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain positive working relationships with a wide variety of organizations and individuals. Self-direction, prioritizing and organizational skills will be crucial to success. Have strong computer skills (especially Word and Excel), take initiative; be a team player; be organized; meet deadlines and have the desire to develop and pursue grant activity throughout the year. Experience with donor/grant management software is a plus.
